Introduction

Evil magic has taken over the mind of every brave animal hero zapping them of their willpower while the monsterous forces amass. Is everything lost? No! You can use your own will to give orders to the heroes and win the battle.

ProgrammableHeroes is a turn based game. You give orders to your party which get executed at the end of the turn. The orders are persistent through turns so the same actions happen repeatly if not changed. To change an order you need willpower which is a resource that replenishes every turn. Defeat your enemies before they defeat you to advance to the next level.

The final Level is an open ended challenge and not meant to be beaten. See how long you can survive and how many enemies you can take with you.

Controls

On the right side you can change the actions of your heroes for the next turn. Simply click on the icon to choose between movement and the different attacks. The smaller icon on the right bottom defines the direction of this action.

Clicking on a hero or monster opens a Info-Window giving more details and explaining available Skills.

Since there is no save-feature you can directly jump to any level by pressing shift + number of the level (1-9).

Known Issues

Clicking on the panel in order to make a change for your actions will cost you a coin irrespective of whether you make an actual change or just confirm what was selected before. If you simply want to check the selected direction of your action you can hover over it and it will be highlighted. When playing the game for the first time you might use the restart button so you can check out all of your possible options without losing any turns.

Very nice game and innovative controls! Just the right amount of challenging.

Known issues:

  • Previous actions are kept after restarting a level, granting infinite actions on 1st turn of each level.
  • After passing level 1, "next level" button can be clicked on multiple times, allowing a player to skip levels.
  • Level 9 is unfinished? (Same as level 8 and cannot proceed further)

Yes, Level 8 and 9 are unfinished but will probably be added in the future.

Thank you for pointing out the bugs. Very useful.
